It seems the whispers were entirely justified… for an evening of considerable intrigue is soon to unfold within the grand halls of Stamford Plaza Brisbane.
On the evening of 27 June, the ballroom doors shall open for Queens and the Gossips, a Pride Month soirée where style, celebration, and a touch of theatrical charm take centre stage.
Guests shall be welcomed into a roaming dining experience, thoughtfully curated to be enjoyed throughout the evening. One may expect a selection of refined offerings, from freshly shucked Pacific oysters with balsamic pearls and avruga caviar, to delicate blinis adorned with quail egg and sour crème. Duck liver parfait with brioche, vibrant heirloom tomato bruschetta, and a generous charcuterie table complete the cold selection.
As the evening unfolds, warm canapés will make their appearance, red wine braised beef with horseradish aioli, confit salmon with crème fraîche and dill, truffle mushroom vol-au-vent, and pumpkin and sage croquettes, each designed to complement the lively atmosphere.
To accompany the affair, a three-hour beverage package will be offered, ensuring glasses remain filled as conversations grow ever more spirited. And for those inclined to linger until the final flourish, the evening concludes with a one-hour Absolut Vodka experience, a fitting finale to a night of celebration.
Presiding over the occasion will be two captivating queens, Katya Louking and Hovanna Crown, whose presence promises moments of glamour, wit, and delightful unpredictability.
One might say this is simply another event.
